Hoot Owl Cafe in Ponderay

I've eaten here for 20 years. It's always been good, portions used to be bigger but who wants to get fat? The biscuits and gravy used to be the best, last time I had them it was too peppery. But I'm going back for more.

Best corn beef hash anywhere.!! The Hoot Owl is a staple of our family when we’re in Sandpoint. The food is always great and the staff as well.!!

Great little cafe , with the largest breakfast helpings we have ever seen! You will not go away hungry. Kimberly and her staff were of the best servers anywhere. We had breakfast 2 days in a row - having biscuits and gravy- green eggs and ham(don't let that scare you- green for spinach and avocado) , pancakes the full size of the plate, and the biggest breakfast burrito. Everything was in our records Delicious!

Delicious food and unique dishes that were worth the long wait!! Friendly service. Loved the quaint pictures and decorations. Little place was a packed house, may have been better to not wait so long. Really good prices!! Recommend for sure!!

Man what a good place. Not that I tasted the actual place of course. Just the food in it. And the atmosphere super nice. Well not the actual air content but you know the people who worked there.

If you are hungry and want the best breakfast in town then you gotta stop here. Big portions, super tasty, really friendly waitresses. It's the wise thing to do. 😊

If you like the usual soggy Chicken Fried Steak, don't come here. Just leaves more for me.

I was here 31 years ago travelling home to Canada from Disneyland as a 10 year old boy with my family. The food was so good I remember it to this day. One day I will return to the hoot.

#1 Cafe/Restaurant in North Idaho. 5 star service and food. Great local vibe. Amazing menu options. Super friendly staff. Cafe 95 > Hoot owl. Hands down cafe 95.

The food was really good. Not just my food either. I stole some of my mom's food. I stole some of my brother's food. My Dad wouldn't cooperate, but I stole some of his food. It was all good!Side note: They liked their food too.

Everyone here is always friendly. You want an old fashioned sit down where they have excellent food? Come here. Everything i have tried is truly wonderful. My personal favorite is the Redneck Benedict.

Awesome place, best meal I had while working out here for a week. Huge portions and everything was good, this place is a gem. I Will be back next time I'm in town.

Okay, maybe I am a bit biased as I type this however I have always loved hoot owl! They have great service and good food! Medium to large portions, comfort food family friendly. The hoot owl is only open till around 2. They are usually pretty busy. I started going there as a child and over 10-15 years later, i go back and the food still tastes great! Would recommend for breakfast in north idaho.

I Love the Owner Wendy... She really is a Genuine person kind, fun and extremely smart, hard working woman... I used to work for her🤗🌼
